COMMUNITY OF OXFORD SUPPORT AND TREATMENT TEAM

2010 - 2011

The Community of Oxford Support and Treatment Team consists of seven main components.

Mobile Crisis Response is a 24-hour service available to all residents of Oxford County.
Crisis Support Workers respond by phone and or personal contact to sudden and unexpected
events that put people in distress.

Case Management offers individualized community-based support for people with a serious
or persistent mental illness.

Concurrent Disorder Support Services provides community support for those individuals
who experience both a serious and persistent mental illness and a substance abuse issue. This
includes counseling, planning and referral.

Dual Diagnosis Support Services provides community support for persons with a serious and
persistent mental illness and an intellectual disability.

Psycho-geriatric Support Services provides community support to those individuals 65 years
of age and older, who also experience a serious and persistent mental illness.

Supportive Housing offers supported, permanent housing to individuals with a serious mental
illness through either CMHA owned and operated houses or assistance in obtaining and
maintaining adequate, affordable housing within Oxford County.

Court Diversion/Court Support is designed to provide an option to incarceration (or support)
for individuals with a mental disorder (serious mental illness, dual diagnosis and or an acquired
brain injury) who have come into contact with the Criminal Justice System.
